STRONG (adj.): the ability to withstand great force or pressure

HEALTHY (adj.): showing physical, mental, or emotional well-being

CONFIDENT (adj.): self-assured

Everyone has a different idea of what these words look like in action. For some, "strong" may mean lifting heavy weights or being able to perform perfect pull-ups. For others, "strong" may mean they said "no" to the box of donuts in the break room. "Strong" can also mean, "I am choosing to be hopeful today, even though my world is crumbling all around me."

"Healthy" is a very controversial word and many people take sides on what is healthy and what is not. Is eating carbs healthy? Some would say, yes! they are necessary; others would say to avoid them at all costs. But which is true?

"Confident" is a tough one. Most people have struggled with self-confidence at some point in their life, including me! It's hard to be confident when you are drowning in self-loathing and negativity. 

Now replace these definitions with "me" and you get...

STRONG: Me

HEALTHY: Me

CONFIDENT: Me

While these words hold different meanings and emotions for everyone, there is one true and undeniable definition for all of them: YOU! 

You are strong. You are capable of withstanding great force and pressure, whatever that may look like in your life. 

You can become healthy even if you are struggling right now. You can love your body and nourish it with the proper food and exercise it needs. It takes dedication and commitment, but you. can. do. it.

You can be confident even if you don't feel that way right now. It takes a lot of hard work, but you. can. do. it. The only catch is this: you cannot give up.

My journey to a stronger, healthier, more confident Claire has been a long one with many peaks and valleys along the way. There have been a handful of times when I have almost given up, but I chose to fight. 

I chose to fight even when I couldn't see my strength. Even when I wasn't taking care of my health. Even when my self-confidence was circling the drain. It wasn't easy, but I fought. And guess what? It paid off.

Today, I can confidently write my name, "Claire," in place of each of those definitions and know they are true. And the best part is, so can you!

Choose to fight for the strongest, healthiest, most confident version of you. I'm not promising an easy journey. But I am promising one that is completely worth it. 

And the good news is, you don't have to do this alone. As your personal trainer, I am here to help you by providing tips for creating lasting healthy habits that will change the way you live and feel. I am also here to encourage and support you, and to hold you accountable so that you reach your goals. I am here for YOU!
